Home visits

Support that comes to you

For some mothers, getting out of the house in the early months can feel impossible. When clinically needed, I offer home visits so you can receive support without disrupting your baby’s rhythms or adding extra stress to your day. Sometimes the most meaningful work happens right where you already are.

A travel surcharge applies on top of the session fee, covering travel time and the extended nature of in-home support:

  • Short travel, within 10–15 minutes+$30
  • Longer travel, or extended in-home work+$60

Medicare

Medicare rebates

Medicare rebates for social work sessions require Accredited Mental Health Social Worker accreditation. Mine is in progress — until it’s granted, sessions aren’t eligible for a rebate, so the fees above are what you’d pay.

If your GP has already written you a Mental Health Treatment Plan, it’s worth holding on to. This page will be updated as soon as that changes.

Private health

Many private health insurers offer rebates for social work or counselling under extras cover, and no referral is required. Claims can be submitted directly to your provider using the invoice supplied after your session.

Payment

All fees are securely processed through Halaxy. Card details are collected beforehand so payment can be handled safely on the day of your session.

Referrals

No referral is needed — you’re welcome to book directly. If your GP would like to refer you, please ask them to address the referral to Lyndall Healey / Held Perinatal and email it to hello@heldperinatal.com.au before your first appointment.

Cancellation policy

Life with a baby is unpredictable — I understand completely. I do ask for notice where you can manage it, so the time can be offered to someone else who needs it.

  • 25–48 hours’ notice50% of the session fee
  • Less than 24 hours’ notice100% of the session fee
